Skills exchange

My good friend David Quiring and I recently agreed to a design/photography skills exchange. My part of the deal was to design the logo for David’s photography business and his part of the deal was to take a headshot of me for my website.

David asked that his logo reflect his positioning statement of ‘visual storyteller’, while also conveying his business as original, honest and established. I asked that Dave take two photos—one that gave a sense of space/environment and one that was more of a traditional headshot. It was a bit of a challenge for him because I tend to laugh a lot!

Now that we’ve each completed our part of the skills exchange, I think I can safely say that we are both really pleased with the results! You can view David’s work on my home page, and if you have a moment, please do go check out David’s site — he’s got some great visual stories on there.
